AFR is similar to the now-retired, FRx and Microsoft Management Reporter but more sophisticated. Interesting Trivia: Epicor® (back when they were Platinum) was the company that originally wrote FRx.
AFR and XLConnect attack the same issue of financial reporting. XLConnect from those who prefer and are more comfortable with Excel. AFR for those who like the sophistication of setting up a ‘Reporting Tree’ where you can report on divisions, sites, and any other segments of the GL very easily across columns, within rows or across reports and companies.
