DocStar is the newly acquired solution by Epicor® that allows for powerful capabilities to eliminate paper in your organization.  It’s a multi-faceted solution that covers key areas of internal business communication and transactions.  Features include:

  • Use desktop and network scanners to scan in existing paperwork
    • Automatically convert text from those scans into searchable and editable information
  • Anything that can be printed from any of your workstations & laptops can be ‘printed’ into DocStar for storage, indexing, and retrieval
  • WIth the 10.1.600 release, Epicor® ERP will be able to directly integrate with DocStar and allow documents that are scanned to be directly attached to internal Epicor® documents such as vendor invoices to AP Vouchers, customer purchase orders, etc.
  • Full graphical workflow builder that lets you route a document based on rules and personnel for approval.  For example, when you receive an invoice from a vendor it can be routed for approval based on amounts or area of responsibility
  • “Bundle” documents together.  When you send a quote for a product, have DocStar also attach a brochure or specification document.
  • 100% browser-based for anywhere any device access
  • A complete forms design engine with the same workflow.  Create forms for things like vacation requests, time off approvals, expense entry and route them for approval, storage and search the same as a paper sourced document
  • Have the system scan common inbound documents like AP Invoices from a large vendor and automatically parse them into Epicor® ERP as entered AP Vouchers awaiting review and approval
  • DocStar is also compatible as a standalone solution with an ERP solution and integrates with our other solutions like Microsoft Dynamics NAV, AX, SAP Business One or Sage ERP 100.
